Do I need an unboxing video to claim a dead-on-arrival laptop?

An unboxing video is not strictly mandatory to claim a dead-on-arrival or damaged laptop, but it makes the claim faster and stronger, so it is worth recording. If a unit arrives damaged, dead on arrival or not as described, contact Edify support within the 14-day return window with your order number and clear photos or a short video of the issue and, ideally, the packaging. Do not ship anything back before getting return authorisation. Recording a continuous unboxing video from the sealed package is the single best way to document a transit-damage or DOA claim, because it removes any ambiguity about the condition on arrival. Edify accepts the return free of charge when a unit fails its re-inspection, and approved replacements ship within 24 to 48 hours of the returned unit reaching the warehouse. As a habit for any online electronics purchase, filming the unboxing protects you at no cost.
