Can I upgrade the RAM or SSD on a refurbished laptop later?

Most refurbished business laptops support RAM and SSD upgrades, and this is one of the practical advantages of buying business-grade machines over thin consumer models. ThinkPads, Latitudes and EliteBooks typically have accessible upgrade slots, which means you can start with 8GB RAM and upgrade to 16GB as your needs grow, or swap in a larger SSD without replacing the whole machine. The key exceptions are ultra-thin models (such as some Dell XPS or MacBook variants) where RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be changed after purchase. Before buying with an upgrade plan in mind, confirm the specific model's upgradeability. At Edify, the RAM and storage configuration is listed and verified on every product page, so you know exactly what is installed. If you buy a base configuration now and upgrade later, the total cost can still be well below a comparably specced new laptop.
