Warranty
What does the refurbished laptop warranty cover, and what does it not?

Edify's 12-month warranty (6 months on Apple) covers defects in materials and workmanship in the laptop's hardware, the display, motherboard, keyboard, RAM and storage (SSD/HDD), with repair or replacement during the warranty period. What it does not cover is equally important to know up front: software and the operating system; batteries and other consumables (unless they fail due to a manufacturing defect); accidental, liquid or external damage; superficial wear such as scratches and dents; damage from unauthorised repairs or modifications; normal wear and tear; and units with tampered serial numbers or that cannot be ownership-verified. This scope is standard across the refurbished industry. Two practical takeaways: back up your data before any service (Edify is not liable for data loss during repair), and keep your invoice as proof of purchase. For cover on accidental damage or a longer horizon, an extended warranty is available. Always read a seller's covered-and-excluded list before buying, this is Edify's, in plain terms.
