Is the warranty a manufacturer warranty or a seller warranty?

The warranty on every Edify laptop is a seller warranty issued by Edify (Kuzagan Services Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru), not by Dell, HP, Lenovo or Apple. Original manufacturer warranties do not transfer with second-hand sales, so when you buy refurbished, the seller warranty is what actually protects you. Edify's warranty is 12 months on most laptops and 6 months on Apple units. It covers hardware defects in display, motherboard, keyboard, RAM and storage, with repair or replacement at Edify's discretion. What it does not cover: software or OS issues, accidental or liquid damage, cosmetic wear, and units with tampered serials or unauthorised repairs. The warranty is non-transferable. Think of it as Edify standing behind the hardware quality it certified, which is the more meaningful guarantee at this stage of a laptop's life.
