What do Grade A, B and C mean on a refurbished laptop?

Refurbished grades describe a laptop's cosmetic, not functional, condition. Grade A means near-mint with minimal or no visible wear; Grade B means light, normal signs of use such as faint scratches; Grade C means visible cosmetic wear like scuffs or minor dents. Crucially, the grade refers to looks, not performance: a Grade B laptop is fully functional and carries the same warranty as a Grade A; it simply costs less because it shows its age. One caveat for buyers: grades are not standardised across India, so one seller's "Grade A" can equal another's "Grade B." That is why you should buy from a seller that defines its grades clearly, shows real photos, and backs every grade with the same testing and warranty. At Edify, cosmetic grade is disclosed up front and every grade clears the same 31-category Final Quality Check, so choosing a lower grade saves money without compromising reliability.
