Pricing and value
How do I know I am paying a fair price and not overpaying for a refurbished laptop?

A fair refurbished price is typically 40 to 60% below the equivalent new model's current price, so start by checking the new price on the manufacturer's India site, then expect a certified refurbished unit to land meaningfully below half that figure. Three quick sanity checks: compare the processor generation (older gens like 8th or 9th should cost noticeably less than 11th or 12th gen), verify that the seller offers a minimum 12-month warranty with a GST invoice (both non-negotiable for a legitimate transaction), and check whether the cosmetic grade is clearly defined. Platforms that publish their inspection process publicly are lower risk than those that do not. At Edify, every laptop goes through a Final Quality Check across 31 categories, ships with a 12-month warranty and a GST invoice, and carries a 14-day return window, which together give you a reliable price-to-quality baseline to compare against.
